On my birthday weekend, my family and I went to New York and had the privilege to attend the church service with my aunt. As I contemplate the Pastor’s sermon, it came to me whether I am one of the two types of individual based on their sense of labor and inheritance. One, an individual is driven to do certain things because it’s his culture, it's the norm or it’s what is expected. This individual receives out of entitlement, “because I’ve done this, I deserve this.” Second, an individual is prompted by what the world has to bring. Someone who has to bend or adjust on every situation. He receives out of gratitude, “thank you because you gave it to me even I don’t deserve this.”

But godliness with contentment is great gain1 Timothy 6:6

God taught us how to rely on Him fully and to have a thankful heart. He unselfishly gave His son, Jesus Christ to save and love us with no restrictions. Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
