Surely you have heard of the story of the two men praying in the temple. Yet, I would like to pose a question to you. Which one of the two are you? Are you the one who is proud of being holy, or are you humble, asking for mercy? Think honestly about where you really would fit in this story.

“But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’- Luke 18:13 (NLT)

It is something that we should think of often. Praying and asking God for mercy. Taking into consideration of how we are unworthy of His love. We should never forget what He did for us, and how undeserving we are. Let it be a constant source of our praise to God.

Thank you Lord for being merciful to me a sinner.
